In the final months of WWII, Hitler sequestered France's Vichy régime at Schloß Sigmaringen…

in Germany's Schwarzwald.  The Marèchal Pétain occupied the floor above Pierre Laval; Schloß Sigmaringen had a French Post Office  and state radio station.  


Sigmaringen: A Miniatures Opera was a commission of  Musikprotokoll-Graz, and itself politically exiled by a dispute between Musikprotokoll and the Stierischer Herbst.
